Siriussat 1, 2 Telemetry

The following software is used to receive telemetry from Siriussat 1, 2 satellites:    * SDR # for receiving a radio signal;    * Orbitron for tracking the satellite and taking into account the Doppler effect;    * Hs soundmodem for receiving command codes;    * Sputnix Telemetry Viewer to decrypt telemetry command codes. Launch SDR # and select the type of radio: RTL-SDR connected via USB.

In the Radio section, set the switch to WFM mode and set the Bandwidth to 6000.

Make sure the “Filter Audio” checkbox is unchecked.

Next, you need to increase the signal gain. To do this, click on the gear.

Move the slider so that the noise level rises by about 10dB.

This is what the signal from the Siriussat satellite should look like.

In the Tracking DDE Client section, when Orbitron is connected correctly, information about the tracked satellite will appear.

Launch Orbitron and update TLE first. Click on the tool button. Press the zipper button to update the TLE.

Then select the Sputnix and satonline.txt

Click the Download TLE button.

Download the cubesat.txt List

In the side list on the right, only cubsats will appear. Select Siriussat 1 and 2.

The selected satellites will be shown in the main program window.

Then go to the Calculation tab and click on the Calculation button.

The satellite will automatically calculate the time of flight. Go to the Rotor / Radio tab and make sure the tracking button is pressed.

In the window with the receive frequency (Dnlink / MHz) the following correct frequency should be set:

   * SiriusSat -1 - 435.57 MHz    * SiriusSat-2 - 435.67 MHz

Launch HS soundmodem

Open the settings section

Select the audio source Input device - CABLE Output. Check the AGWPE Server Port Enabled checkbox. Additionally, you can check the Color waterfall checkbox.

To test the HS soundmodem, enable LitSat-1 satellite recording. To do this, follow the link https://yadi.sk/d/iYDiVeAEos0yPQ and enable the recording.

Set the sound volume to maximum so that the waterfall is of this color.

After some time, satellite telemetry should appear in the HS soundmodem program window.

Now select the Siriussat 1, 2 FSK G3RUH 4800bd signal parameters

Now run the Sputnix Telemetry Viewer.

Test its operation by enabling the following SiriusSat-1 signal entry https://yadi.sk/d/0NlPbjmjEoaN-w

Telemetry will appear in HS soundmodem.

Telemetry decryption will appear in Sputnix Telemetry Viewer.

Click on any line and see the detailed information received from the satellite.
